Abstract

Georg Raffelt
Neutrinos in Astrophysics and Cosmology

Neutrinos play a dominant dynamical role in the early universe and in supernova (SN) explosions caused by the core collapse of a burnt-out massive star. We will discuss what can be learnt about neutrino properties from cosmology and the role of the neutrino signal from SN 1987A, the next nearby SN, and the diffuse flux from all past SNe in the universe to learn about neutrinos and the astrophysics of the core-collapse phenomenon.
